Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is a branch of Traditional Chinese Acupuncture which aims to correct the signs of aging by both local treatment and by treating the underlying causes. For centuries, Chinese people have used acupuncture to benefit their longevity and health. Knowing that beauty comes from the inside out, they have mastered ways to increase energy flow within the body and speed up the healing process for rejuvenation.There are twelve main meridians in the human body and many begin or end on the face with internal branches that spread throughout the face. By stimulating certain points, blood and lymphatic circulation can be increased. This means that more nutrients can be delivered to aging cells and more toxins can be taken away.

 

When small intradermal needles are inserted underneath the epidermal layer of the skin, the body senses it as "trauma" to the skin. Henceforth, the body will start recruiting nutrients and increasing its own blood supply to the skin.  The skin then starts the "healing" process and produces more collagen, fibrin, and elastin molecules. New skin cells are produced and are laid down in the correct normal way, perpendicular to the original wrinkle or fine line. As a result, you see a younger and more rejuvenated face.

What Would an FRA Session Feel Like?

 

You will be comfortably laid down on a treatment table while soft relaxing music is played in the background of a dimmed, candle-lit room. The face is first cleansed with a natural all-organic facial cleanser. Small intradermal needles will be inserted onto fine lines, furrows, crow’s feet, and other problematic areas for the first half of the session.

 

The most relaxing and rejuvenating process follows as your face gets a massage and scrub with an all natural aromatherapy facial oil. An calming lavender toner is applied, followed by a face firming moisturizer.

 

How Long Do I Need To Come For?

The best results have been noted when patients come for 1 treatment once a week for the first 4 weeks, followed by 1 treatment once every 2-3 weeks for the next 3 months (=10 sessions). Results are usually apparent after the 4th to 6th treatment.

 

What Are The Possible Side Effects?
